49. The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown.

K, let me put this out there..I am a HUGE DAN BROWN FAN. Seriously, I've read all of his books countless times. I love Robert Langdon..I mean..I LOVE him. But this book?

THIS...BOOK...

....

sucked.

I can't believe I am saying this. I don't even know why. I just didn't fucking like it. It was PREDICTABLE. DAN BROWN'S FUCKING BOOKS AREN'T SUPPOSED TO BE PREDICTABLE. I GUESSED who the big secret guy was..I KNEW WHO IT WAS. That's so wrong. What the fuck, Dan Brown?

And it's so crazy because it is set in DC and I FUCKING LOVE DC. BUT one thing I always liked about his books was that they went away from America quite a bit..and I love reading stories set in Europe..especially Dan Brown style because it's almost a history lesson but it was never a boring history lesson...it was exciting and interesting and page-turning.

This book bored me. It wasn't a page turner for me. A few things happened where I was like "dayumm" but not enough. Not enough for Dan Brown, the king of "DAYUM HOLY SHIT WTF" moments.

BLAH. I HATE THAT THIS BOOK WASN'T MAGNIFICENT. It's hard to live up to his previous books but come on..he released Angels & Demons and then Da Vinci Code and they're both phenomenal..and so was Deception Point..I fucking love that book as much as the other two. Digital Fortress was great, I didn't like it as much as the other three, but it was fucking God compared to Lost Symbol. BLAH.

AND WTF HAPPENED TO SOPHIE? Honestly, Vittoria was my favourite. I hated that she didn't make it to the Da Vinci Code..and I was fine with Sophie..but ANOTHER new girl? Three girls?! MAYBE if he would have MENTIONED Sophie..but he didn't..it's like the two books BEFORE this one didn't exist. At least in Da Vinci he MENTIONED Vittoria and the situation..but in Lost Symbol..he didn't bring it up at all. Fuck that shit.

Idk. I need to stop ranting because it's getting to the point where it's just angry bullshit that doesn't make much sense.

But seriously.

..Seriously.

The book isn't worth being rated.
And NO QUOTES.

Did all the other Dan Brown lovers like this book? Did they love it? I didn't even research it or look at reviews. Blah. Who knows. Am I over-reacting, or do other people think it sucked shit also? I DON'T KNOW. FUCK.

SORRY.
